NEET PG 2025: Exam, Result, Cut-offs & Paper Status

NEET PG 2025 was planned for 15 June 2025 in two shifts. After a Supreme Court order it was held in a single shift on 3 August 2025, so scores were not normalised. NBEMS announced question-ID-based records for candidates' logins, and lowered the qualifying percentiles in January 2026. We found no public release of the question paper.

Overview

What happened in NEET PG 2025

NBEMS announced on 17 March 2025 that NEET PG 2025 would be held on 15 June 2025 in two shifts. The information bulletin, issued from 17 April, set out how scores from the two shifts would be normalised, and divided the paper into five time-bound sections of 40 questions and 42 minutes each.

On 30 May 2025 the Supreme Court, in W.P. No. 456/2025, directed that the exam be held in one shift. On 2 June NBEMS said it would comply and postponed the 15 June date to arrange more test centres, adding that the new date would be notified once the Court approved it. On 7 June it announced 3 August 2025, in a single shift, and asked every candidate to choose an exam city again.

The exam was held on 3 August 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. NBEMS declared scores and ranks on 19 August 2025, said normalisation had not been applied because the exam was held in a single shift, and reported that no question had been found technically incorrect. On 21 August it announced that, following a Supreme Court order of 29 April 2025, each candidate would be able to see question ID numbers, the correct answers and their own responses in their login.

On 13 January 2026 NBEMS lowered the qualifying percentiles for the third round of counselling for the 2025–26 session.

Results

NEET PG 2025 qualifying cut-offs

Maximum marks were 800. The original qualifying cut-offs came with the result on 19 August 2025 and applied to All India 50% quota seats. The revised cut-offs came on 13 January 2026 for the third round of counselling for the 2025–26 session; ranks did not change. A score of −40 is possible because of negative marking. These are qualifying cut-offs, not counselling closing ranks.

Paper status

NEET PG 2025 paper and answer record status

There is no NEET PG 2025 question paper or public answer document to download, as far as we could find. Revisable does not offer recall-based versions.

  • None found

    Complete question paper

We found no public release of the 2025 paper in NBEMS's notices. The 2025 bulletin (clause 9.7) describes the exam content as confidential and proprietary, but that clause alone does not prove the paper was never released.

Not available — no public release found in NBEMS's records.

  • Official / Reported

    Question-wise record in candidate login

NBEMS's notices of 21 August 2025, titled "Answer Key of NEET-PG 2025 shall be published shortly", say each candidate would see question ID numbers, the correct answers and their own responses, arranged by the master question paper. That the records went live is reported (Medical Dialogues, 30 August 2025); we found no NBEMS notice confirming it. They do not show the questions.

Not available — candidate login only; not a public download.

What 2025 shows

What NEET PG 2025 changed for later candidates

  1. A single shift, so no normalisation

Because the exam moved to one shift, NBEMS did not normalise scores, unlike 2024. NEET PG 2026 was also held in a single shift and its results were published as raw scores.

  2. Records by question ID, not the paper

From 2025 NBEMS has announced question-wise records in each candidate's login, identified by question ID number. They let you see your own responses against the correct ones, but not the questions themselves.

FAQ

NEET PG 2025: frequently asked questions

When was NEET PG 2025 held?

On 3 August 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, in a single shift. It had been set for 15 June 2025 in two shifts; NBEMS postponed it on 2 June 2025 to arrange more test centres after the Supreme Court directed a single shift, and announced the new date on 7 June.

Why was NEET PG 2025 held in one shift?

NBEMS's notices say it followed the Supreme Court's orders of 30 May 2025 in W.P. No. 456/2025, which directed that the exam be held in one shift. Because of this, the normalisation of scores described in the bulletin was not applied.

Was there an answer key for NEET PG 2025?

NBEMS's notices of 21 August 2025, titled as answer-key notices, said each candidate would see question ID numbers, the correct answers and their own responses in their login, following a Supreme Court order of 29 April 2025. That is not a public document with the questions. Its release was reported on 30 August 2025; we found no NBEMS notice confirming it.

Were any NEET PG 2025 questions declared incorrect?

No. NBEMS's result notice says faculty members reviewed every question after the exam and found none technically incorrect.

Is the NEET PG 2025 question paper available?

We found no public release of it in NBEMS's records. The 2025 bulletin describes exam content as confidential and proprietary. Papers offered online as the 2025 paper are not NBEMS documents as far as we could find, and Revisable does not publish or link to them.
